Barcelona sign Man City Captain Ilkay Gundogan

Ilkay Gundogan will join spanish giant Barcelona on a  free transfer deal when his contract ends at the end of may

The Manchester City captain seemed to be offered a new contract by City but also is liked he has negotiated have a more valuable three-year deal with the Laliga winners.

City manager Pep Guardiola had always been enthusiastic to keep Gundogan, who's been fundamentally important to the team 

The midfielders scored 11 goals in 51 games last season. 

He played 90 minutes in the Champions League victory as City surpass Inter Milan 1-0 to add to their Premier League and FA Cup accomplishments last season.

The German international joined the Citizens from Borussia Dortmund for a reported fee of £20m in 2016 and scored 60 goals in 304 games.

During his 7 years at Manchester City he won 14 titles - five Premier League trophies, one Champions League, two FA Cups, four Carabao Cups and two Community Shields.
